On October 16th, the successful launch event of the All-in-one C&I Battery Energy Storage System took place under the theme of "Deep Integration of Energy Storage and Charging Technologies, Empowering the Commercial and Industrial Sectors." This event served as a platform for Topband Battery to showcase their innovative product and share their vision.
The energy storage industry is currently experiencing a significant wave in the "double carbon" era.
During the All-in-one C&I Battery Energy Storage System Product Launch Event, the marketing manager of Topband Battery highlighted the global consensus on energy saving and carbon reduction. With the establishment of the "double carbon" goal and the continuous increase in relevant policies both domestically and internationally, the demand for energy storage is on the rise.
Under the backdrop of the "double carbon" initiative, the commercial and industrial energy storage sector is experiencing significant growth and development. In May 2023, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) released the third regulatory cycle of provincial grid transmission and distribution pricing policy. This policy encourages enterprises to adopt energy storage solutions for managing their electricity consumption, thereby stabilizing the electricity load.
As a result of these developments, most provinces and cities have successfully implemented the "two charging and two discharging" mode, and have also established designated peak hours. This has created more opportunities for arbitrage, thereby further enhancing the attractiveness of investing in commercial and industrial energy storage. These favorable conditions reflect the superior economics associated with such investments.
All-in-one C&I Battery Energy Storage System launched at the event
During the event, Topband Battery's R&D Director shared his strategic plans for commercial and industrial energy storage. He shared how they are addressing pain points in energy storage applications for the commercial and industrial sectors. Additionally, the R&D Director unveiled their new product, the All-in-one C&I Battery Energy Storage System.
The R&D Manager from Topband Battery provided a detailed introduction to the main features of this new product. He explained its design, functionality, and various application scenarios, allowing attendees to gain a comprehensive understanding of the M100G215A system.
Safety is the foundation of energy storage, and the energy storage industry is still facing safety challenges, with thermal runaway being the root cause of fire accidents in energy storage. The M100G215A, with safety as its primary focus, monitors battery status information in real time through the built-in 300+ sensors, and the system will analyze the data in the cloud to notify maintenance personnel as soon as a potential problem is detected. This product utilizes a three-tiered fire protection architecture, including module level, cluster level, and system level, to ensure rapid intervention in the event of any potential safety hazards, thus safeguarding the safe operation of the system, as well as the user's property and security.
Battery life is the key to the energy storage system, and its performance mainly depends on the battery cell. The M100G215A energy storage system focuses on optimizing battery life through various technological advancements. M100G215A utilizes a self-developed 150Ah cell that not only offers high capacity but also demonstrates excellent heat dissipation capabilities.
To further enhance the overall heat dissipation efficiency, the M100G215A incorporates module- and system-level cooling systems. Specifically, it employs an air-cooled cooling mechanism to maintain the temperature rise of the equipment during operation at a maximum of 8℃. This approach ensures that the system remains within the optimal performance range of the battery cell, preventing any adverse effects caused by excessive heat.
Moreover, the M100G215A implements a high-current equalization control of 300mA. This control mechanism aims to maintain consistency among each cell of the battery at the overall level. By ensuring uniformity in the distribution of charge and discharge across all cells, the product achieves long-term stability and enables customers to enjoy steady returns over an extended period of use.
The M100G215A energy storage system offers an impressive output capacity of up to 100KW, providing users with ample power for their energy needs. Additionally, it boasts a storage capacity of 215KWh, allowing for significant energy storage capabilities that can be utilized as per the user's requirements.
To optimize the economic benefits for users, the M100G215A incorporates an extruded cell design. This design feature enhances the cycle life of the battery cell, enabling it to withstand more than 12,000 cycles of charge and discharge. By extending the operational lifespan of the cell, this design choice ensures that users can maximize their return on investment by obtaining long-term economic benefits from the system.
Commissioning an energy storage power station is a complex process that requires professional inspection and maintenance following operation, which can be both time-consuming and labor-intensive. The M100G215A product offers a prefabricated integrated design and modular installation to simplify the process. M100G215A employs a preassembled, integrated design and modular installation, obviating the necessity for specialized operation or maintenance. Direct module replacement is easier and less time-consuming, resulting in lower post-sales maintenance costs and rapid, efficient fault elimination. The M100G215A's integrated design enables easy transportation of the entire machine, effortless on-site installation, and utilization of existing wiring. When compared to traditional solutions that require overall installation, operating and maintenance costs can be reduced by 35% to 40%.
Towards the conclusion of the event, the attendees and the general manager of Topband Battery energy storage power division collaborated to talk about the introduction of new products and how to reduce enterprise costs while increasing efficiency to support the role. According to him, the primary way to address peak and valley arbitrage, solar usage, power supply, and power are currently through commercial and industrial energy storage. Due to the growing popularity of new energy vehicles, there are an increasing number of charging stations worldwide. The solution to the charging issues in hotspot cities is to introduce energy storage units, self-generation and self-consumption, peak and valley arbitrage, and load scheduling to determine the peak hours for electricity consumption. This product, the M100G215A, was released with a modularized design that allows for highly flexible parallel connection of multiple units. It can be used in the majority of commercial and industrial application scenarios, including smart micro-grids, industrial parks, and photovoltaic and storage charging stations.
