Lithium batteries are divided into lithium batteries and lithium-ion batteries. And lithium-ion batteries are also a common type of battery in daily life and work, commonly known as lithium batteries. Batteries generally use materials containing lithium as electrodes, which are representative of modern high-performance batteries. Lithium ion batteries are a type of secondary battery (rechargeable battery) that primarily relies on the movement of lithium ions between the positive and negative electrodes for operation. During the charging and discharging process, Li+is intercalated and disembedded back and forth between the two electrodes: during charging, Li+is disembedded from the positive electrode, embedded into the negative electrode through the electrolyte, and the negative electrode is in a lithium rich state; When discharging, the opposite is true.

Lithium ion batteries

1. Safety properties: There are very strict standards for the evaluation indicators of the safety performance of lithium-ion batteries. A qualified lithium-ion battery should meet the following conditions in terms of safety performance: overcharging protection, discharge protection, charging and discharging overcurrent protection, charging and discharging short circuit protection, charging and discharging temperature protection, voltage balance, and other safety measures.

2. Long service life: Lithium batteries have a service life of 3-5 years and a cycle life of 2000 times. Paired with original charging, the charging effect is more significant, and if properly maintained during use, the usage time will be longer.

3. No memory effect: When using lithium batteries, it should be noted that after being left for a period of time, the battery enters a sleep state. At this point, the capacity is lower than the normal value, and the usage time is also shortened. But lithium batteries are easy to activate, and after 3-5 normal charging and discharging cycles, the battery can be activated and its normal capacity can be restored. Due to the inherent characteristics of lithium batteries, they have almost no memory effect.

4. Low cost: Unlike lead-acid batteries, lithium-ion batteries have purchase and maintenance costs. Through economic analysis throughout the entire life cycle, the comprehensive cost of lithium-ion batteries is significantly higher than that of lead-acid batteries!
