Recently, Topband Battery's Home Energy Storage products have successfully passed the UL 9540A test, which is currently recognized as a challenging international safety test for overseas. Topband Battery successfully passed the certification, and will also lay a good foundation for the global development of its energy storage business.

The safety of energy storage systems is a common concern in the industry, and related policies are gradually being improved. UL 9540A is the world's first energy storage safety standard, was authorized in 2015 as the U.S. national standard and 2016 as the Canadian national standard, a dual-national national standard. UL9540A is a test method for assessing the spread of large-scale thermal runaway fires in battery storage systems and is widely recognized by the relevant authorities. Authoritative U.S. industry codes, such as the U.S. Electrical Code (Chapter 706), the U.S. Residential Code (Chapter R327), the U.S. International Fire Code (Energy Storage Chapter), and the National Fire Protection Agency's NFPA 855 standard, all impose UL9540A listing requirements on energy storage systems. The U.S. fire authorities in New York City require that the combustion test set by UL9540A must be implemented and reports submitted for the purpose when the storage system is installed. This is now becoming a requirement for access to the U.S. market.

This high voltage home energy storage battery product has been designed with the objective of meeting the relevant standards of UL9540A testing.  The focus is on preventing the spread of thermal runaway in the event of a cell failure. The product adopts self-researched 100Ah prismatic cells, with multiple protections from the cells to the electrical components, structural components, component selection and system design, fully considering the controllable range and the safety after the system goes out of control. In addition to this certification, the products are also UL1973 certified.
